Research

I am interested in the behavioral and neural basis of visual attention. My work strives to understand the representational basis upon which visual attention mechanisms operate, such as locations and objects, as well as to understand what happens to visual information that is not attended. I am also interested in understanding how visual attention interacts with other cognitive systems, such as spatial cognition and navigation, and degrades in aging and neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.
